Enjoy the extraordinary beauty of the Château de Versailles gardens, exceptionally open to the public from 9a.m to 7p.m*, as you stroll with your family or friends through the groves and discover the fountains playing to the sound of the music that once brought them to life.

The 55 fountains and pools and their 600 water features, set in motion with the help of a lyre key by the Château de Versailles fountain specialists, will delight you. The greatest baroque composers, from Lully to Handel, will accompany you in your royal stroll in music.

The Musical Fountains Show, an unrivaled success for over 350 years ! A must see !

Obelisk Grove works : until April 19th inclusive, the fountain will not be operating; however, the grove remains open to visitors.

*For your information early closure of the Gardens at 5:30 p.m. on May 16th, on October 25th and 31st, on November 1st, as well as on Saturday evenings during the Night Fountains Show from June 6th to September 19th and July 14th.

Prices

Free admission : available for children up to 5 years old, who can access the Gardens without a ticket (proof of identity may be requested on-site) / for members of the Opera Experience offer – Solo and Duo 1-Year Card for Versailles – the Société des Amis de Versailles Card – ADOR (Royal Opera Friends) / Licensed tour guide / École du Louvre student, valid until the end of 2026.

Admission to the gardens is now free for school groups affiliated with the French Ministry of Education, subject to certain conditions. For further information and to make a booking, please call +33 (0)1 30 83 78 00 or visit the “Visiting conditions” section of the Palace of Versailles website.

Group rate : €10 for groups of 30 or more with a dated ticket purchased via email at [email protected]. On the same day, €11 at the group ticket desk at the garden entrance (subject to availability). More info.

Reduced Rate granted to residents or nationals of the EEA, upon presentation of a valid official document on the day of the visit. More information here.

Specific Rate available for :

– holders of a disability card (PRM/disabled visitors) and one accompanying person (all nationalities)
– holders of the carte famille nombreuse (French large-family card – French nationals only)
– students on presentation of a valid student card (French nationals or EEA citizens)
– accompanying person(s) of holders of the Opera Experience Solo or Duo offer, as well as Solo or Duo OR (free admission for the card holder)
– accompanying person(s) of holders of the Society of the Friends of Versailles Card (free admission for the card holder)

On-site pricing :

– For EEA nationals (subject to availability), the ticket price is €13 reduced rate – FR and EEA / €12 specific rate.
– For non-EEA nationals (subject to availability), the ticket price is €16 full rate / €12 specific rate.

Practical information

Opening hours :

The time indicated for the booking (9am) corresponds to the opening of the ticket offices and the groves.

Your ticket is valid from 9am until the groves close.

Ticket valid for one admission (access : Courtyard of the Princes, Little Venice, Menagerie, Dragon or Neptune Gates). A second admission is possible through a different gate than the one used for the first entry.

Please note :

1. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Tour on foot, no seats available.
3. No re-entry once you leave.
4. Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be returned, even in the event of bad weather.
5. The Musical Fountains Show take place regardless of weather conditions.

You may be filmed or photographed during this event. Château de Versailles Spectacles considers that by attending, you waive any rights to object to the use of these images for the promotion of The Musical Fountains Show.

No duplicate will be issued, even in case of loss or theft.

Evacuation and early closure of the Gardens at 5:30 p.m. on May 16th, on October 25th and 31st, on November 1st, as well as on Saturday evenings during the Night Fountains Show from June 6th to September 19th and July 14th.

Due to a technical issue, the water displays at the Water Theatre Grove are temporarily out of service. Our fountain engineers are doing their best to restore the system.
