Presentation
Created by Le Nôtre in 1677, this grove is the only one mentioned on an old plan as being “of the King’s thought”. Parallel to the Water Alley, its natural slope dictated its layout on three distinct levels linked by waterfalls. Restored in 2005, it has regained the composition and water features intended by the sovereign: in the lower pool, the jets form a fleur-de-lis, in the center, a water vault, and at the top, a water column made up of 140 jets.
