Anne-Sophie Mutter concert in favor of the restorations in the palace of Versailles

7 september 2015 - 8:30pm

Anne-Sophie Mutter is the German violinist who conquered Karajan’s heart aged only 13! A child prodigy, she is a confident interpreter of all repertoires from Bach to Penderecki and has become one of the great violinists of the time.

In 1978, at fourteen, she played for the first time as a soloist with the Berlin Philharmoniker. She went on to Salzburg and London, and to an exceptional career; in 1979 aged only 17, she was awarded the title of artist of the year.

Anne-Sophie Mutter is very involved in her Foundation, which helps young soloists from all over the world at the start of their career. She is also very active in charitable work and regularly performs for benefit concerts.
