The 2018-19 musical season of the Royal Opera includes nearly a hundred performances that offer to all kinds of audiences the opportunity to experience great beauty in a variety of programs. Opera, Theater, Concerts, Ballet, Recitals ... The Royal Opera features today’s greatest artists and orchestras.
The Friends of the Royal Opera's mission is to make the Chateau of Versailles shine in France and abroad through its musical programming. ADOR supports the Royal Opera on ambitious opera productions that allow audiences to (re)discover unknown or forgotten works and supports artistic projects of excellence which feature a new generation of baroque artists. Thus, during the 2017-2018 season, ADOR sponsored three remarkable artistic projects, including a new production of Lully’s Phaéton directed by Benjamin Lazar and conducted by Vincent Dumestre.
During the 2018-2019 season, ADOR will enable four notable productions to take place including a masterpiece of French Romanticism and a new production of a rare opera:
